  • Holder of a Law Degree from the Complutense University of Madrid . Outstanding Degree Prize.

  • Doctor of Laws by the Complutense University of Madrid . Outstanding Degree Prize. Cum Laude.

  • Practicing lawyer from 1973 to date, dedicated to consultation and judicial assistance in connection with the different issues habitually linked to the world of business.

  • "Calvo Sotelo" completion of law degree national prize, conferred by the then existing National Board in Honour of Calvo Sotelo. Awarded in year 1973 for the best academic record of all Spanish Universities. Class of 1968-1973.

  • Completion of degree national prize from the then Patrons of Teaching Works of the Movement. Year 1973.

  • Law Degree studies undertaken with a bursary-salary in each year and a total of 32 distinctions on academic record. University Foundation Prize for Academic Merit in 1973 for obtaining distinction in all subjects of the Law Degree.

  • From 1973 to 1983 (leave of absence for reasons of incompatibility) seconded as a lecturer to the Chair of Labour Law of the Complutense University of Madrid, lecturing and engaging in teaching activity under Professor Manuel Alonso Olea.

  • Attorney No.1 of the year of the Body of Attorneys of the National Forecast Institute.

  • Attorney No.1 of the year of the Body of Attorneys of the Administration of the Social Security.

  • Founding member of the Forum of the Spanish Legal Profession. A member of its Governing Board, continuously since its founding, and of its Management Committee.

  • Attorney selected by the then National Industry Institute to provide legal advisory services to the Legal Departments of the then national companies: Empresa Nacional Calvo Sotelo de Combustibles Líquidos y Lubricantes, S.A. (Encaso), Empresa Nacional Petróleos de Tarragona, S.A. (Entasa), Empresa Nacional Refinería de Petróleos de Escombreras, S.A. (Repesa). And later to Empresa Nacional del Petróleo, S.A. (Empetrol). He was responsible for overseeing the entire merger by takeover of the aforementioned state oil group, in the labour-legal areas of Social Security, collective agreements and legislation covering short time working and lay-offs. Temporary period from 1974 to 1985.

  • Candidate in the elections for a Board Member of the Governance Committee of the Honourable Lawyers Association of Madrid, in years 1979 and 1992, with the candidates for Deans Mr. Fausto Vicente Gella and Mr. Bernardo María Cremades Sanz-Pastor.

  • Stint as Legal Representative to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, General Directorate of Insurance, on the Insurance Institutions Liquidation Commission (CLEA). External legal adviser of the aforementioned body.

  • Deputy Director & Head of the Contentious Labour Legal Service in Grupo Repsol, since its creation until 31st May 1995 . Leave of absence for reasons of incompatibility.

  • Board Member designated to represent the General Board of the Spanish Legal Profession, at the joint proposal of the aforementioned body and General Board of the Judiciary, on the Jury of public sector examinations for Senior Judges for access to the specialist areas of Contentious-Administrative and Labour. Having, on several occasions, formed part of the Jury of public sector examinations for the selection of Senior Judges for access to the aforementioned specialist legal areas.

  • Attorney of the Spanish Arbitration Court .

  • Vice president third of the National Association of Labor Lawyers ( ASNALA )

  • Collaborator, at the time, for the ESIC Business School , for its different training courses, in joint sponsorship with the Offices Cuatrecasas, Gómez-Acebo y Pombo, Garrigues, Denton – Lupicinio and Sagardoy Abogados, among others .

  • Collaborator for the daily "Expansión" on labour-legal matters and opinion. Collaborator for other national newspapers, in relation to labour & employment and court matters.

  • Author, together with other lawyers, of the work "Perspectivas jurídicas actuales" (Current Legal Perspectives), in collaboration with César Albiñana García-Quintana, Hermenegildo Altozano García-Figueras, Edmundo Angulo Rodríguez, Miguel Arias Cañete, Gaspar Ariño Ortiz, Martín Bassols Coma, Juan Bolás Alfonso, Bernardo María Cremades Sanz-Pastor, Rafael García Valdecasas, Antonio Martínez Lafuente, Santiago Martínez Lage, Ana Mato Adrover, Rafael Navarro Valls, Manuel Olivencia Ruíz, José Luis Pérez de Ayala, Fernando Sánchez Calero, Eugenio Soriano García, Evelio Verdera y Tuells and Manuel Villar Arregui.

  • Collaborator for the General Law Review and the Private Law Review. Author of various articles on legal issues published in the aforementioned reviews. Member of the Publishing Board of the General Law Review, since March 2000.

  • Author of the works “Quince Lecciones sobre Convenios Colectivos” (Fifteen Lessons on Collective Agreements), “El Tribunal Supremo ante los Recursos de Casación para la Unificación de Doctrina” (The Supreme Court on Appeals in Cassation for the Unification of Doctrine), “Despido objetivo y despidos disciplinarios” (Objective Dismissal and Disciplinary Dismissals), “La Extinción del contrato de trabajo por razones objetivas” (Termination of the Employment Contract on Objective Grounds), “Las diversas modalidades de contratación laboral” (The Different Modes of Employing Staff), and other books on labour-legal issues.

  • Author of different articles and collaborator for the Official Gazette of the Honourable Lawyers Association of Madrid, for the Labour Law Section.
